Lodging
Participants who need lodging may choose to stay on campus in Cadet rooms, sleep in the Gymnasium, camp on the Howe Campus or stay at one of the many area hotels.
Howe Cadet Rooms: These spartan dorm rooms are pleasant, clean and convenient. Washrooms are off a common hall. Although small, the dorm rooms have enough space to park a bike. Most rooms are double; however, a few singles are available. Rooms are $19 per person per night. You may sign up for dorm rooms via the mail-in registration form or on ACTIVE.COM.
DORM RESIDENTS MUST PROVIDE THEIR OWN PILLOWS, BED LINENS, BLANKETS, TOWELS AND SOAP. IF THE WEATHER IS HOT, WE ALSO SUGGEST YOU BRING A FAN AND EXTENSION CORD. A FLASHLIGHT IS ALSO RECOMMENDED.
Gymnasium: Sleeping space is available on the gymnasium floor with access to restrooms and showers in the same building. Gymnasium Sleeping is $10 per person per night. You may sign up for gymnasium sleeping via the mail-in registration form or on ACTIVE.COM.
Campsites: Camping space is available for trailers, motor homes and tent campers. There are no hook-ups (electricity, water, waste). Campers have access to indoor restrooms and showers in the gymnasium and the cadet dorms. NO FIRES or CHARCOAL GRILLS. Camping is $25 per site for the weekend. You may sign up for a camp site via the mail-in registration form or on ACTIVE.COM.
Hotel Directory: The Lagrange County Convention and Visitors Bureau web site has a fantastic list of area Hotels and Motels, Bed and Breakfasts and Cabins and Campgrounds. The River Country web site covers the area in Michigan North and West of Howe. Some of the accommodations are relatively far west so be sure and check the distance to Howe. Lodging within easy cycling distance of the ride start includes: Holiday Inn Express Howe, Super 8 Howe, Best Western Plus Howe Inn, Hampton Inn Sturgis and Village View Bed and Breakfast.
Camping with Faclities: If you would like to camp, but prefer a full service campground, Twin Mills Camping Resort is 3 miles west of the school.
